Job Description
Elevate your impact as a BCBA/Autism Specialist for the upcoming 2026–2027 academic year in a dynamic, onsite school-based environment. Work full-time supporting students and staff across four local schools, championing positive behavior change and inclusion for learners with autism. The position focuses on direct behavior consultation, performing in-depth Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs), developing actionable Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), and providing on-the-ground coaching to teachers and paraprofessionals.
Leverage your expertise by collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams, ensuring that each student receives individualized interventions and support. Your input will be crucial in helping classrooms flourish and building teacher capacity to lead with effective, evidence-based practices.
What We’re Looking For:
- Active BCBA certification (please provide a screenshot with your application)
- Demonstrated school-based BCBA or autism specialist experience (strongly preferred)
- Solid background in completing FBAs and developing BIPs
- Proven experience in coaching teachers and paraprofessionals in behavior strategies
- Skill in supporting autism-specific classrooms and collaborating with diverse education teams
- Must pass drug screening, fingerprinting, and comprehensive background checks (CORI)
- Presence and punctuality are essential for all scheduled days
- Reliable transportation required, as travel between four school sites is necessary
- Ability to notify the school and recruiter promptly if absent due to illness
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive behavior assessments and develop individual intervention plans
- Model and coach best practices to school staff in addressing student behavior needs
- Partner with multidisciplinary teams for effective planning and implementation
- Provide ongoing consultation and support to create positive, inclusive classrooms
