Job Description
Embark on a rewarding contract assignment as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) supporting students across a vibrant K-12 district. You’ll provide essential therapy services district-wide, collaborating with a supervising Occupational Therapist to make a meaningful difference for students in two elementary, one middle, and one high school. This full-time role spans the academic year, from August 25, 2026, to May 28, 2027, offering the chance to work 35 hours per week in a dynamic and supportive educational environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Pennsylvania COTA license (required)
- School-based experience preferred, though new grads are encouraged to apply
- Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for working with children and adolescents
- Ability to travel between four district buildings as needed
- Effective communicator and team collaborator
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy interventions to K-12 students in group and individual settings
- Collaborate closely with the district’s onsite Occupational Therapist, who will provide ongoing supervision and mentorship
- Support students in achieving IEP goals and maximizing functional independence in the educational setting
- Collect data, maintain accurate records, and participate in team meetings
- Communicate progress and recommended strategies to teachers and families
