Step into a rewarding opportunity providing speech-language pathology support within schools in the San Juan Capistrano area. This full-time, contract-based role focuses on serving students in both a preschool and a middle school environment, delivering critical services to help students develop their communication skills. You will closely collaborate with educational teams to ensure the best outcomes for young learners.

This assignment is to cover a Leave of Absence, with a current anticipated start in mid-October and duration through December, with some schedule flexibility depending on district needs. Your day-to-day work will be on-site, allowing you to connect directly with students and staff in a supportive educational setting.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Active California SLP license required
  • Previous experience in a school setting preferred
  • Ability to adapt quickly to different age groups and school environments
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organization skills
  • Comfortable working both in preschool and middle school settings

Role Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders
  • Develop individualized therapy plans tailored to student needs
  • Deliver services to students one-on-one or in small groups
  • Consult and collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families
  • Document student progress and maintain necessary reports in accordance with school and state requirements
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams
