Minimum Qualifications:

  • Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Prior experience as an RN in a school environment required
  • Previous critical care experience highly desirable
  • Ability to provide documentation of licensure and certification
  • Submission of an updated resume as part of the application process
  • For this position, LPNs will not be considered

Role Overview:

  • Provide direct, 1:1 care to a young student requiring oxygen during school hours
  • Monitor and respond to the student's medical needs with expertise and compassion
  • Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and the student’s family to ensure seamless communication
  • Document care and maintain health records in compliance with school and state guidelines
  • Support a safe, nurturing school environment for a child with complex health needs

Schedule Details:

  • Contract position spanning from August 13, 2026 to May 28, 2027
  • Work hours are Friday mornings, 8:45AM–11:45AM, offering valuable part-time flexibility
