We are placing an experienced inpatient pharmacist at a children's hospital for a 6-month travel assignment starting as soon as possible, and we want to find the right person before the opportunity is gone. This hospital in Lubbock, Texas, is seeking a skilled and compassionate inpatient pharmacist who can step into a complex and rewarding pediatric environment with confidence. Responsibilities

-Verify and process pediatric medication orders accurately and efficiently using EPIC
-Supervise and support pharmacy technician staff throughout the overnight shift
-Consult with physicians and nurses on medication therapy and patient care needs
-Perform pharmacokinetic monitoring and weight-based pediatric dosing adjustments
-Manage Pyxis automated dispensing systems throughout the facility
-Ensure safe medication dispensing and regulatory compliance throughout all overnight operations
-Collaborate with the interdisciplinary pediatric care team to optimize patient outcomes

Experience

-Inpatient hospital pharmacy experience required
-Pediatric pharmacy experience highly preferred
-EPIC proficiency required
-Pharmacokinetics and weight-based pediatric dosing experience preferred
-Night shift or 7 on 7 off inpatient experience a strong plus

Skills

-Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently overnight
-Genuine comfort and compassion in a pediatric patient environment
-Effective communicator with physicians, nurses, and the broader care team
-Reliable, consistent,t and comfortable with the autonomy of night shift coverage

Qualifications

-Active Texas Pharmacist License required
-EPIC experience required
-Pediatric inpatient experience highly preferred

Education

-Doctor of Pharmacy, PharmD, from an accredited college of pharmacy
