Job Description
Bring your expertise as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to an engaging contract opportunity serving students from preschool through 8th grade. This position offers a dynamic mix of settings, including a middle school (grades 5-8) with a caseload of 35 and various private school campuses supporting diverse learners. Both virtual and onsite roles are available, and consideration will be given to SLPAs for in-person assignments.
You’ll be part of a dedicated team making a profound difference during the 2024-2025 school year, with the assignment running from August 18 to June 7. The schedule averages 37.5 hours per week, ensuring both impactful work and a balanced lifestyle.
Qualifications & Desired Skills:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA
- Indiana state licensure (or eligibility)
- School-based SLP experience preferred; open to strong Clinical Fellows
- Comfortable managing caseloads of 35-70 students
- Experience with AAC devices an asset, though the need is limited
- Bilingual skills are highly valued
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete speech and language assessments and implement IEPs
- Deliver targeted, evidence-based therapy, both virtually and in-person
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, teachers, and families
- Document progress and maintain organized, timely records
- Consult with staff on communication strategies and accommodations
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional input
