• Previous experience as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired preferred

• Ability to adapt instructional materials and strategies to meet unique student needs

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction to students who are blind or visually impaired in individual and group settings
• Assess students’ abilities, develop individualized education plans (IEPs), and monitor progress

• Adapt curriculum using braille, large print, audio materials, and assistive technology
• Consult with staff on best practices for accommodating and including visually impaired students
• Advocate for accessibility and foster engagement in all school activities
• Maintain accurate documentation and participate in IEP and team meetings
