School Occupational Therapist - Winnetka, Illinois

Seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to support Early Childhood students for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year on a part-time contract. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young learners in a collaborative, supportive environment located in the North Chicago area. Work as part of a specialized team to deliver high-quality occupational therapy within the preschool consortium, providing vital services to students with diverse needs.

Desired Qualifications:

• Active certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
• Previous experience working within early childhood or special education settings is highly valued
• Knowledge of school-based OT best practices and a passion for working with young learners
• Flexibility for travel within the preschool consortium as needed
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with children, families, and colleagues

Role Responsibilities:

• Assess students to develop targeted, individualized occupational therapy plans
• Provide direct therapy services to preschool-age children in alignment with IEP goals
• Collaborate with special education teams, teachers, and families to support student progress
• Document progress and maintain clear records according to school and regulatory standards
• Consult and contribute to the development of strategies and accommodations within the classroom environment
• Participate in team meetings and ongoing program development
• Engage in ongoing professional growth and adhere to ethical and legal standards in school-based practice
