Job Description
Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students as a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) within a supportive school environment. This full-time contract position runs from October through the end of the school year, offering a consistent Monday through Friday schedule from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM. With a manageable caseload of 50-70 students ranging from pre-kindergarten to 6th grade, you’ll have the opportunity to foster communication skills across a diverse age group.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Valid state licensure (or ability to obtain prior to start)
- Previous experience working in a school setting or with pediatric populations is highly valued
- Strong organizational and communication abilities
- Collaborative spirit to work effectively with teachers, parents, and support staff
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to students according to IEPs
- Assess, diagnose, and create individualized treatment plans for speech and language disorders
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with school and state requirements
- Consult and collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student success
- Participate in IEP meetings, progress reporting, and multidisciplinary team discussions
