School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Evanston, Illinois

Bring your passion and expertise to a dynamic school setting, supporting high school students with low-incidence disabilities and higher needs. This contract opportunity, beginning August 12 and concluding October 13, offers the chance to make a lasting impact during the critical start of the academic year. Take on a focused caseload of approximately 30 students, many of whom use assistive technology, and collaborate with a supportive team working toward student success.

Key Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology (required)
• Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
• State licensure to practice as an SLP
• Experience working in school settings, particularly with high school students
• Familiarity or expertise with assistive technology (AT)
• Ability to manage a caseload with diverse needs and create individualized therapy plans
• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills

Core Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and consultative speech-language services to high school students with low-incidence disabilities
• Conduct assessments, develop IEP goals, and deliver therapy in compliance with student plans
• Integrate assistive technology to enhance student participation and communication
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to optimize student outcomes
• Document interventions and progress, maintaining compliance with state and district guidelines
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to a supportive, inclusive school culture

Enjoy a consistent schedule with your choice of shift—either 8:00am to 3:30pm or 7:30am to 3:00pm—guaranteeing a 7.5-hour day including lunch. Compensation starts at $43 per hour, and may increase depending on experience.
