Job Description
Step into a dynamic contract opportunity supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in the vibrant community of San Juan Capistrano. Contribute your expertise on-site at two educational settings—a preschool and a middle school—providing essential services to help students grow and thrive. This full-time assignment covers a Leave of Absence and is anticipated to begin mid-October, running at least through December, with confirmed dates still to be finalized.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active and current California SLP license required
- Previous experience working in schools preferred
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Passion for working with both preschool and middle school age groups
What You’ll Do:
- Provide comprehensive speech and language services to students at both preschool and middle school campuses
- Conduct assessments and develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Deliver direct therapy, monitor student progress, and document outcomes
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student achievement
- Consult on effective classroom communication strategies and modifications
- Fulfill the responsibilities of an SLP during a Leave of Absence period
