Special Education Teacher - Kalama, Washington

Step into a fulfilling contract position as a dedicated Special Education Teacher supporting middle school students with varying disabilities. This role is onsite and offers the opportunity to positively influence students’ lives throughout the entire academic year, from August 26, 2026, to June 11, 2027.

This full-time contract requires commitment Monday through Friday with a consistent 7.5-hour workday. You'll work closely with a collaborative team, developing individualized education plans and delivering engaging instruction to support each student's unique learning journey.

Preferred background and qualifications:

• Holds a valid Washington State Special Education Teacher certification
• Comfortable working with middle school-aged children across a range of abilities
• Ability to develop and implement IEPs for students with diverse needs
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with families, educators, and support staff
• Previous experience in a classroom setting supporting students with disabilities is highly valued

Key responsibilities include:

• Designing and delivering specialized instruction tailored to middle school students with diverse learning profiles
• Managing classrooms effectively to maintain a positive, inclusive environment
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support student growth and progress
• Providing regular updates and maintaining ongoing communication with families and staff
• Maintaining detailed and accurate educational records and documentation
