Job Description
Inspire and empower students as a Secondary Math Teacher for the upcoming school year in a dynamic educational setting near Deatsville, AL. This contract opportunity begins August 11, 2026, and runs through May 27, 2027, with a standard 37.5-hour workweek. You'll play a critical role in shaping students’ mathematical understanding and building their confidence, working with a supportive onsite team.
What You’ll Need:
- Current Alabama Teacher’s Certification
- Bachelor’s degree or higher, with an endorsement in Math
- Experience teaching in a general education classroom, with a focus on math preferred
- Ability to utilize technology effectively to enhance student learning and engagement
- Strong interpersonal skills to foster rapport with students, families, and colleagues
Role Responsibilities:
- Create a classroom environment that promotes learning and personal development
- Motivate students to develop essential mathematical skills, positive attitudes, and a solid knowledge base
- Incorporate technology and innovative teaching strategies to engage and prepare students for modern challenges
- Establish and maintain positive, productive relationships with students, parents, staff, and the wider school community
- Collaborate with administration and staff, performing additional duties as assigned
