Step into a rewarding, contract-based opportunity supporting students in a vibrant school setting near Burnsville, MN, for the upcoming academic year. Two experienced Social Workers are sought to work onsite—impacting students’ lives, fostering resilience, and building connections that support their growth and success.

This contract runs from August 17, 2026, through May 28, 2027, with a weekly commitment of 37.5 hours. Caseloads will be assigned following your interview, allowing placements that best match your skills and experience.

Key Qualifications:

  • Current and active Social Worker state licensure or certification required
  • No educator credential necessary
  • Previous school-based experience or a strong desire to work within educational settings
  • Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills
  • Able to work onsite (remote or virtual work is not available for this position)
  • Empathy, adaptability, and a problem-solving mindset when working with diverse student populations

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct support to students facing social, emotional, or behavioral challenges
  • Serve as a liaison between students, families, and school staff to ensure a caring, inclusive educational atmosphere
  • Participate in multidisciplinary teams to evaluate and develop strategies supporting student well-being
  • Maintain confidential and thorough documentation related to student cases and interventions
  • Advocate for student needs and collaborate on personalized support plans
