Position Details:\n

Co-Worker Health Nurse - LPN or RN

\n

Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday

\n

Mercy Hospital Oklahoma City

\n

\n

The Co-worker Health Nurse is a critical job that works closely with all co-workers from day one.
\n • Plans, organizes, directs and performs all activities of the co-worker health services in concert with federal and state requirements and regulatory agencies.
\n • Processes new co-workers for a health assessment at hire, which includes pre-employment drug testing, health medical history, lab work, chest x-ray if indicated and immunization status.
\n • Supports and administers co-worker TB skin screening program in compliance with state regulations.
\n • Performs respirator fit testing and training as indicated.
\n • Promotes and administers annual Influenza and other vaccines to all co-workers working in the facility.
\n • Provides first aid to employees as necessary and works closely with co-workers following on the job injuries to provide quality care and follow-up to injured workers.
\n • May serve as Workers' Compensation coordinator, depending on work location, following state commission rules and regulations.

Qualifications:

\n

Experience: 2 years' hospital or clinical experience required.

\n

Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program, LPN or RN.
Licensure: Active nursing license in Oklahoma (LPN or RN).

\n

Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) preferred but will be provided by Mercy after hire if not already certified.

\n


Physical Requirements:
\n • Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
\n • Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
\n • Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
