Our organization is actively seeking Gastroenterology Physicians to join our Hospitalist Model at St. Joseph's Health in Syracuse, NY. This is an exciting chance to be part of a new service within a supportive health system.

Position Highlights:

• Role: Function as a GI Hospitalist, providing inpatient consultations and performing various procedures.
• Collaboration: Work within a comprehensive health system that is affiliated with one of the largest multi-institutional Catholic healthcare networks in the country.
• Schedule: Enjoy a 7 on-7 off work model.
• Support: Benefit from strong administrative backing for the growth and vision of the GI department.
• Network: Access a large network of primary care and specialty physicians.
• Call Schedule: Currently, call is one weekend per month, with affiliated groups covering evenings and weekends.
• Patient Volume: Manage an average of 15-20 inpatients and 3-7 new consultations daily.
• Opportunities: Engage in resident teaching and clinical research initiatives.

Areas of Focus:

The practice aims to enhance expertise in the following specialties:

• Advanced Endoscopy, including EUS with therapeutics, Advanced ERCP skills, EMR/ESD, and enteroscopy.
• Inflammatory Bowel Disease.
• Hepatology (non-transplant).
• Esophageal and Rectal Manometry.

Recruitment Package:

• Starting Bonus: A financial incentive upon joining.
• Salary: The posted salary represents the initial range of total compensation and does not account for productivity bonuses, quality and performance incentives, extra shift payments, or other applicable cash compensations. Additionally, providers typically receive a CME allowance and other benefits from their medical group employer. Please note that this salary range is in accordance with state law and may vary based on the factors mentioned.
• CME: Allocated time and an annual expense allowance of $4,500 for continuing medical education.
