As a 1:1 RN, you will work with a preschool-aged student who requires G-tube, tracheostomy, and ventilator care. Your shift will begin by meeting the student at their home at 12:30 PM, accompanying them on the bus to school, providing diligent care throughout the school day, and ensuring their safe return home by approximately 4:00 PM, Tuesday through Friday. The assignment runs from August 18, 2026, to May 28, 2027.

Key Qualifications:

• Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Demonstrated experience with G-tube, tracheostomy, and ventilator care (required)
• Prior critical care background (strongly preferred)
• School nursing or pediatric experience beneficial
• Ability to provide professional, compassionate care and advocate for student needs
• Resume and current license/certification must be submitted for consideration

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver one-to-one specialized nursing care to student during school day
• Safely and attentively monitor medical equipment needs (G-tube, trach, ventilator)
• Support safe bus transportation to and from school
• Collaborate with school staff, families, and additional support personnel
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate changes in health status
