This onsite position begins August 3, 2026, and runs through May 28, 2027, providing speech-language pathology assistant services in a supportive educational setting. Full-time work (35 hours per week, seven hours per day) means you’ll have the ability to truly connect with your caseload and collaborate closely with educational teams. Assignment is likely at one dedicated school site, with final details to be confirmed prior to your start.
Preferred candidates will have a solid grounding in K-12 school environments and demonstrate compassion, flexibility, and a dedication to student success.
Required Qualifications:
- Valid and current Florida Department of Health SLPA licensure
- Minimum 2 years of relevant SLPA experience
- At least 6 months of experience working in schools
- Ability to complete fingerprinting and badge requirements in accordance with Florida state laws, including AHCA Clearinghouse verification and JLA badge process
- Willingness to work onsite for the duration of the contract
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language services to a school-based caseload
- Collaborate with SLPs, educators, and support staff to implement student IEPs
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of service delivery and progress
- Support generalization of speech and language skills across school settings
- Foster a positive, engaging environment that encourages student development
