An exciting opportunity awaits Speech-Language Pathologists passionate about making a difference in young learners’ lives. A local PreK-2 school near Easton, MD (with a specific assignment in Centreville and the surrounding areas) seeks a skilled SLP to join their team on a contract basis, covering from October 1 through December 23. Key Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Active Maryland State SLP License
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
  • Experience in school-based SLP services, ideally with younger populations
  • Ability to manage a caseload of around 50 PreK-2 students
  • Strong organizational and communication skills

Core Responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech and language assessments for new and existing students in PreK-2
  • Deliver direct therapy services aligned with IEP goals
  • Provide case management for a diverse caseload, ensuring all documentation and deadlines are met
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, special educators, and parents to support student progress
  • Participate in IEP meetings and school-based multidisciplinary teams
  • Support the generalization of communication goals within the educational setting

This contract position is Monday through Friday, with a daily schedule of seven work hours plus a half-hour unpaid lunch.
