Qualifications:
- Valid SLP license in New York State
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required
- Prior experience working in a K-12 school setting is highly desirable
- Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload
- Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing IEPs, conducting assessments, and delivering therapy to students with diverse needs
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to students as outlined in their individualized education programs
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and re-evaluations of students' speech and language abilities
- Collaborate regularly with teachers, staff, and families to support student success
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation of student progress and services
- Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team discussions, and parent conferences
- Adapt therapy plans to address student goals and evolving needs throughout the assignment
