Job Description
Make a difference supporting students as a contracted Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in charter school settings near Hollywood, FL. Multiple opportunities are available for experienced SLPs, those holding their Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC), as well as new graduates completing their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY). Openings include roles at Coral Springs Charter School (4 days per week, 32 hours per week) and Renaissance Charter School at Plantation (5 days per week, 40 hours per week).
Qualifications:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology license in Florida
- SLP-CCC or eligible for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- Previous experience in a school-based environment preferred
- Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Passion for working with children and collaborating with educational teams
Responsibilities:
- Assess and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in students
- Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and provide direct therapy services
- Maintain thorough documentation of services and student progress
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, families, and other professionals to support student success
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal setting and progress reporting
- Support students’ communication needs in academic and social contexts
- Deliver services according to the outlined schedule (32 or 40 hours per week, depending on school assignment)
