Job Opportunity: Fellowship-Trained Breast Surgeon

We are excited to invite a fellowship-trained, board-certified/board-eligible Breast Surgeon to join our esteemed breast care team. This role presents a unique chance to enhance a well-established statewide cancer program that provides innovative surgical solutions to our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver comprehensive breast surgical services while collaborating in clinic operations.
  • Perform onsite procedures including ultrasound, punch biopsies, and guided biopsies (mammography/MRI).
  • Engage in a General Surgery Residency Faculty role.
  • Participate in the clinic for 1.5 days per week.

  • Join the region's first dedicated breast health center, the Katzmann Breast Care Center.
  • Utilize advanced surgical techniques such as oncoplastic, nipple-sparing, and Hidden Scar procedures.

  • Access state-of-the-art imaging, minimally invasive biopsies, and personalized risk assessments.

Accreditations and Advanced Capabilities
  • Our center is certified by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer, NAPBC, NAPRC, and ACR.
  • We offer advanced surgical and diagnostic capabilities, including colorectal surgery, surgical oncology, thoracic surgery, and neurosurgery.
  • Be part of the first site in Iowa to provide ION technology for robotic-assisted lung biopsies.
  • Engage in collaborative tumor boards and integrative oncology services.
  • Access palliative care and integrative oncology services supported by our foundation.
