\nWithin the organizational structure of radiology performs CT scan procedures to assist in direct patient care. Has work commitment that is at minimum 3 shifts within a 6-week period. Must work 1 weekend shift within 6 weeks, 1 minor holiday or 1 major holiday. Call requirement as determined by department.\n
\n
\nACH, ACRH, and SLS new hire/transfer will have 60 days from start to obtain a Kansas LRT License by the Kansas Board of Healing Arts.\n
\n
\nARRT - Required\n
\n
\nIn Convenient Care/Imaging Center setting, may also assist other modalities and perform other duties as assigned.\n
\n
\nIn Community Hospital setting:\n
\nPerform CT and general radiography exams.\n
\nUtilize appropriate knowledge and documented competency in aseptic technique, universal precautions and infection control.\n
\nAppropriately protect and shield exposed areas that do not need to be imaged. \n
\nAccurately maintain all required documentation, logs, forms and records for radiology department. Perform QA/QC of imaging equipment according to established protocols and policies. \n
\nProvide basic bedside care and provide assistance and supportive patient care under the direct supervision of the physician or RN. \n
\nAssist in initiating care to stabilize patient and assist in managing life support needs by collaborating with physician and clinical staff. \n
\nAccurately and concisely documents services provided within the medical record in a thorough, timely manner. \n
\nDemonstrate proficiency at inserting and maintaining IV's. \n
\nCollect laboratory samples and perform lab testing in accordance with CLIA regulations and established policies and procedures. \n
\nParticipates in QAPI activities including participation in accreditation preparation and survey process, and maintenance of accreditation, state, and CMS standards.\n
\nMay prepare patient meals.\n
