In this position, bilingual fluency in Spanish is essential, as you’ll provide services to a dynamic community with a wide range of communication needs. You’ll collaborate closely with teachers, families, and other professionals to support student success.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Texas SLP license (active and in good standing)
- CCC-SLP or CFY certification welcomed
- Previous experience in school-based settings, specifically working with pediatric and K-12 populations
- Bilingual in Spanish (required)
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 55-60 students
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for K-12 students
- Develop and implement IEPs tailored to individual student needs
- Deliver therapy individually and in small groups
- Monitor student progress and document outcomes
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to maximize student achievement
- Participate actively in multidisciplinary team meetings
