Step into an engaging contract role supporting high school students in a dynamic educational environment near Arlington Heights, IL. This is a full-time position, covering a leave of absence from September 8 through December 18. You'll work with a manageable caseload and benefit from mentorship and collaboration with another experienced SLP onsite.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Illinois SLP license or eligibility
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred; CFY candidates considered
  • Prior experience in school-based or pediatric settings highly valued
  • Strong clinical assessment and intervention skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve a high school caseload of approximately 50 students across one school site
  • Conduct and interpret 7 evaluations during the assignment period
  • Provide direct and consultative speech-language services, including handling 4 consult-only students
  • Develop, implement, and update individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Collaborate closely with onsite SLP and multidisciplinary education teams
  • Maintain accurate documentation and progress records according to district and state requirements
