Job Description
Step into an exciting opportunity serving students as an onsite Speech-Language Pathologist for the upcoming school year. This contract role offers an engaging blend of teamwork, impact, and growth, supporting a diverse caseload ranging from preschoolers to 8th graders. Work on-site with a passionate special education team and help students build critical communication skills in a supportive environment.
Enjoy a structured workday of 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch, totaling 37.5 hours each week. The assignment runs from August 4 to June 4. You’ll support a caseload of up to 55 students, providing services, developing IEP goals, collaborating with educators, and engaging with families to ensure student success. Bilingual skills are highly preferred and bring added value to the program.
Qualifications:
- Possession of a valid and current Speech-Language Pathologist credential (required)
- Previous experience working with school-aged populations, ideally spanning preschool through middle school
- Bilingual abilities are strongly preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and deliver direct therapy to students ages 3 through 8th grade
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with district and state requirements
- Collaborate closely with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student goals
- Provide consultation and strategies to classroom staff for student success
This contract position offers an hourly rate between $50 and $65, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
