Job Description
Make a meaningful impact as a Special Education Teacher supporting elementary-level students in a dynamic school environment. Full-time, onsite contract opportunity beginning August 13th, 2026 and continuing through May 20th, 2027 (dates are subject to change). This position offers a chance to facilitate growth, inclusion, and academic achievement for students with diverse learning needs.
What We’re Looking For:
- Valid Special Education Educator Certificate
- Prior experience as a Special Education Teacher, preferably at the elementary level
- Comfortable working with a variety of classroom settings, including resource and self-contained models
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
- Passion for fostering a supportive, inclusive classroom environment
Role & Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and differentiated support to students per their IEPs
- Monitor, document, and report on student progress toward educational goals
- Adapt materials and teaching strategies to meet varied learning needs and styles
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and support staff to ensure student success
- Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and needs
- Maintain accurate records and comply with all relevant laws and school policies
