Mathematics Gen Ed Teacher - La Place, Louisiana

Inspire students and share your expertise in mathematics as a full-time Algebra I educator. This contract role involves serving as a dedicated and energizing Math Teacher, specifically for Algebra I, engaging with students throughout the academic year.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Active Louisiana Math Educator Certificate authorized for high school grades
• Previous classroom experience teaching Algebra I is highly preferred
• Strong command of high school mathematics curriculum and best instructional practices
• Excellent communication skills and a passion for motivating, mentoring, and guiding students
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, respectful, and academically driven environment

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging daily lesson plans and effective math instruction to high school students
• Adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs and styles
• Collaborate with fellow educators and school staff to align curriculum and support student achievement
• Develop and administer assessments, provide timely feedback, and track student progress
• Encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and confidence in Algebra I
• Maintain open and consistent communication with parents and guardians regarding student performance
