Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) in Colmesneil, TX
Job Description

This contract position offers both full-time (36 hours/week) and part-time (20 hours/week) options, making it easy to find a schedule that aligns with your needs. As a valued Speech-Language Pathology Assistant, you will work alongside a supportive SLP and gain experience collaborating across three campuses, each conveniently located within a quarter of a mile of each other (with travel between two sites as needed).
This role begins with a required orientation day during the week of August 10th, 2026, and officially starts on August 17th, 2026, continuing through May 28th, 2027.
What you’ll bring:
- Current state licensure or certification as an SLPA
- Previous experience in a school setting, preferably with elementary-aged students
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to travel between nearby school sites as part of the workday
- A positive, child-focused attitude with a willingness to learn and grow
What you’ll do:
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy services under the supervision of a licensed SLP
- Support students’ IEP goals with engaging and effective interventions
- Collaborate with the SLP and school teams to monitor progress and adjust strategies
- Contribute to documentation, data collection, and parent communication as needed
- Participate in team meetings and ongoing professional development
