Exciting opportunity available for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist to provide services within a high school environment near Chicago, IL! This contract position is set for the 2026-2027 school year, offering a unique chance to make a significant difference in the lives of 9th through 12th grade students with 504s or IEPs. With a manageable caseload of approximately 45 students and a flexible schedule of just 2-3 days per week, this role is ideal for a seasoned SLP seeking meaningful, focused impact.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Active state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Previous experience with school-based SLP services preferred
  • Familiarity with developing and implementing IEPs and 504 plans
  • Ability to manage a secondary-level caseload and work independently
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Solid understanding of adolescent language, speech, and communication needs

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct and consultative speech and language therapy to high school students
  • Evaluate, develop, and monitor IEP and 504 plan speech-language goals
  • Collaborate with special education teachers, general education staff, and families to support student progress
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation and progress reports in compliance with district and state guidelines
  • Participate in eligibility and annual review meetings for assigned students
  • Adapt interventions for students in both individual and group settings
