Job Description

A dynamic public school environment is seeking a dedicated part-time professional for the 2026-2027 academic year. In this contract-based role, you’ll have the opportunity to work collaboratively onsite with an established preschool arena testing team. The assignment involves 14-15 hours per week and offers flexible start dates between August 10 and August 17.

This position invites you to contribute your expertise as part of a multidisciplinary group, working directly with one Speech-Language Pathologist and two Diagnosticians. Your primary responsibility will be participating in arena evaluations for preschool-aged children—particularly those turning three. The focus will often be on autism evaluations, with a unique caseload that varies based on the specific assessment needs each week. CPI training is not necessary for this assignment.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid School Psychologist credential and relevant experience required
  • Background in educational, developmental, or child psychology
  • Experience with early childhood or preschool assessments is highly valued
  • Strong team collaboration and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to group evaluations
  • Excellent observation, assessment, and report-writing skills

Role Responsibilities:

  • Participate in arena evaluations (primarily autism and developmental assessments)
  • Collaborate closely with SLP and Diagnostician teammates
  • Offer insight and professional recommendations as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Maintain timely, thorough assessment documentation
  • Engage respectfully with families and contribute to eligibility or planning meetings as needed

This part-time schedule is ideal for those interested in balancing professional practice with other personal or career commitments. If you are passionate about early childhood education and psychological assessment, we encourage you to apply today and make a significant impact in a supportive school community.
