Job Opportunity: Neurologist

Our organization is a physician-led multi-specialty group with over 650 providers, currently in search of a full-time Board Certified/Board Eligible Neurologist. We are looking for a dedicated professional who values a collaborative, multi-disciplinary approach to patient care.

Position Overview

This role is primarily inpatient and consultative, focusing on the treatment of stroke and general neurology patients at our Time Sensitive Emergency Level 2 Stroke Center located in Nampa. This facility is part of a comprehensive system-wide program based at our Boise campus. The Nampa hospital is a high-acuity community hospital with 106 beds, set to expand to 224 beds, currently managing an average of 11 strokes and 30-35 DRGs monthly.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide care for stroke and general neurology patients.
  • Collaborate closely with Intensivists, Hospitalists, and Emergency physicians.
  • Participate in a Level III Trauma Center with classifications for Stroke, Cardiology, and Trauma.
  • Utilize diagnostic and patient care services, including EMG, EEG with web-based interpretation, TCD, and Botox injections.
Team Collaboration

The Saint Alphonsus Neuroscience Institute fosters teamwork among a diverse group of specialists, including neurosurgeons, neurologists, vascular neurologists, neuroradiologists, neuropathologists, neuro-otolaryngologists, physiatrists, neuro-ophthalmologists, and oncologists based at the Boise campus.

Work Schedule

This position entails a 5-day work week, with shifts from 7 am to 4 pm. Stroke call will be during regular shift hours, with no weekend or night call required.

Support Services
  • Access to a well-established outpatient neurology clinic and inpatient neurology program in Boise.
  • Tele-stroke services staffed by vascular neurologists and stroke coordinators.
  • Interventional neuroradiology and endovascular neurosurgery services, including biplane angiography, MRI/MRA, CT/CTA, CT perfusion, and 4-vessel angiography.
  • Involvement in interventional stroke and aneurysm procedures.
Qualifications
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree.
  • Completion of an ACGME or AOA accredited residency training program in Neurology.
  • Fellowship in Neurohospitalist Stroke, Neurovascular, or a related field is a plus.
  • Ability to obtain Idaho medical licensure and privileges at our facilities as required.
  • Valid controlled substance registration with the Board of Pharmacy and DEA.
