\n\nCT Technologist – Full-Time Nights
\n\nLocation: AdventHealth South Overland Park
\nSchedule: Full-Time Nights | 3 x 12-hour shifts | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday
\nSign-On Bonus: $10,000
\n\nThe CT Technologist performs high-quality Computed Tomography (CT) imaging procedures to support the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This role safely positions, moves, and assists patients to ensure accurate imaging results, provides basic patient care within the scope of practice, and completes clerical duties in accordance with departmental standards. The CT Technologist also maintains compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations and follows established AdventHealth policies and procedures.
\n\nKey Responsibilities:

Perform CT imaging procedures according to physician orders, departmental protocols, and imaging standards.
\n - \n
Practice infection control standards and use approved PPE and disinfectant agents.
\n - \n
Follow department protocols for patient identification, informed consent, and time-out procedures before starting exams.
\n - \n
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EMR and PACS systems.
\n - \n
Educate patients about the exam and complete exams efficiently while maintaining workflow and minimizing empty table time.
\n - \n
Operate imaging equipment safely and properly, including scanners, injectors, and monitors, and adapt protocols for patients of all ages.
\n - \n
Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice and support a safe, efficient imaging environment.
\n - \n
Perform waived and non-waived Point of Care Testing as required, ensuring approved competency and documented proof at the time of training.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
\n- \n

Knowledge of CT procedures and CT scanners
\n - \n
Knowledge of CT safety, including radiation protection and ALARA principles
\n - \n
Basic IV competency and IV placement skills
\n - \n
Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, cardiac and vascular imaging, and 3D workstation skills
\n - \n
Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, nurses, and team members from diverse backgrounds
\n - \n
Strong customer service, verbal interpersonal, and communication skills
\n - \n
Ability to analyze data, assess technique, evaluate equipment operation, and support quality control
\n - \n
Knowledge of radiographic equipment operations, patient positioning, and imaging workflow
\n - \n
Basic computer skills, Microsoft Office, PACS, and general computer/networking knowledge
\n - \n
Ability to read, write, and speak conversational English
\n - \n
Strong organizational skills, grammar/spelling competence, and ability to follow written and verbal instructions
\n - \n
Ability to learn and adapt to new technology, departmental policies, and procedures
\n - \n
Ability to independently perform CT procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision
\n - \n
Knowledge of age-specific care and the ability to support physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs across the patient population served

Education:

High School Diploma or GED required.
\n - \n
Associate degree preferred.
\n - \n
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
\n
Experience:
\n- \n
- \n
1+ year of radiology experience and completion of a CT training program preferred.
\n
Licensure & Certifications:
\n- \n
- \n
Registered Technologist – Radiography (RT(R)(ARRT)) required.
\n - \n
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists – Computed Tomography (ARRT-CT) preferred.
\n - \n
Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
\n

Pay Range:
