Position: Travel ICU Charge Nurse

Location: Lewiston, Maine

Department: Intensive Care Unit

Available Shifts: Days and Nights

Compensation: Up to $1,491 – $2,067 gross pay weekly; equivalent to $41.44 – $57.43 per hour.

Assignment Duration: 12 weeks

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee ICU operations and nursing personnel during assigned shifts.
  • Manage staffing, scheduling, and patient assignments effectively.
  • Supervise, mentor, and support the performance and development of staff.
  • Assist with performance management and HR-related tasks.
  • Monitor supplies, equipment, and overall unit readiness.
  • Coordinate patient care, including admissions, transfers, and discharges.
  • Address patient care concerns and escalate issues through the proper channels.
  • Engage with patients and families to foster a positive experience.
  • Provide direct patient care as necessary to ensure safe staffing and quality outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and high-quality patient care.
Qualifications
  • Current and valid RN license in the state.
  • Current BLS certification (AHA) upon hire and maintain throughout employment.
  • Current ACLS certification (AHA) upon hire and maintain throughout employment.
  • At least one year of experience as a staff nurse in an acute care hospital or emergency department setting.
  • One to two years of previous supervisory experience in an acute care hospital or ICU setting is required.
