Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Current Standard Arizona Secondary Teaching License and K-12 Special Education Certificate required
- Valid IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Experience working with students with emotional disabilities and additional eligibility areas
- Strong understanding of the needs of at-risk students, English language learners, and exceptional learners
- Demonstrated knowledge in creating and maintaining special services activities and documentation aligned with federal, state, and district standards
- Training in Essential Elements of Effective Instruction (E.E.E.I.), or willingness to participate in ongoing professional development
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide instruction and support to students experiencing challenges with prosocial and self-regulatory skills
- Design and adapt curriculum to meet individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Employ evidence-based teaching practices
- Collaborate effectively with other educators, staff, and families to ensure student success
- Participate in team meetings, professional training, and consistent staff development
This position is onsite only—remote or virtual arrangements are not considered. The contract runs from early August through late May, aligning with the school year calendar.
