Requirements
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Gynecologic Oncology
- Eligible for a medical license in Michigan
- Completion of a Gynecologic Oncology fellowship
- Experience in surgery, chemotherapy, and multidisciplinary cancer care
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on patient-centered care
- Able to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
Duties & Responsibilities
A typical day may involve:
- Providing comprehensive care for patients diagnosed with gynecologic cancers.
- Performing complex surgical procedures for both malignant and benign conditions.
- Collaborating with a team of specialists, including surgical oncologists, radiologists, and pathologists, to create comprehensive treatment plans.
- Managing chemotherapy treatments.
- Participating in tumor boards and multidisciplinary case discussions.
- Teaching, mentoring, and supervising residents and fellows.
- Engaging in ongoing research, quality improvement, and educational initiatives.
- Carrying out other clinical duties as needed to support the clinic.
