Position: PRN Nocturnist Gastroenterology Hospitalist
Location: Arlington, VA (DC Metro / DMV Area)

Our organization is on the lookout for a Board-Certified Gastroenterology Hospitalist to enhance our expanding, patient-focused program at our primary hospital site in Arlington, Virginia, a prominent medical center in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.

This role is perfect for Gastroenterologists eager to deliver high-acuity GI care within an overnight inpatient call framework, offering a flexible schedule.

Available Shifts
  • Weekday Shift: 5:00 PM - 7:00 AM (on-call, available for urgent procedures or in-house consultations).

  • Weekend Shift: 5:00 PM Friday - 7:00 AM Monday (on-call coverage, managing inpatient consultations and procedures).

Position Responsibilities
  • Deliver overnight inpatient gastroenterology services.

  • Address acute GI conditions and other urgent/emergent cases.

  • Work closely with Emergency Medicine, ICU, and Hospitalist teams.

  • Ensure prompt documentation and structured handoff to daytime GI physicians.

  • Support our mission to provide high-quality, patient-centered care.

Qualifications
  • MD or DO from an accredited medical institution.

  • Completion of a Gastroenterology fellowship.

  • Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Gastroenterology.

  • Preferred experience in inpatient GI and endoscopy (new graduates with strong training are encouraged to apply).

  • Eligible for or licensed by the Virginia Department of Health Professions.
