Job Description
Step into a rewarding role working with students across transitional kindergarten through 8th grade, providing crucial support as a Physical Therapist in a school-based setting. You’ll collaborate with educators and other support staff to help children reach their movement and mobility goals, all while maintaining a balanced workweek with just 10 hours per week for the full school year.
Qualifications:
- Active Physical Therapist (PT) license in California is required
- School-based experience preferred, but open to candidates passionate about pediatric care
- Strong understanding of therapeutic interventions within educational environments
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Dedication to supporting diverse student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver physical therapy services to students in grades TK–8 per their individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Conduct assessments to determine students’ needs and develop effective intervention strategies
- Collaborate closely with teachers, special education staff, and families to maximize student outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation, monitor progress, and adjust therapy plans as necessary
- Provide consultative services and in-service training for school personnel as requested
