Job Description
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity working directly with high school students to support their academic and communication success. A dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist is needed for the 2026-2027 academic year, working 2-3 days per week with 9th through 12th graders who have 504 plans or IEPs. This position offers the chance to build meaningful relationships with approximately 45 students on your caseload, using your expertise to empower them in their educational journey.
Qualifications/Preferred Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current state licensure and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP), or eligibility
- Prior school-based SLP experience, preferably with high school-aged students
- Understanding of IEP and 504 plan development, implementation, and documentation
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Commitment to culturally responsive practices and student-centered care
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders for students on assigned caseload
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans in accordance with students’ IEPs or 504 plans
- Work collaboratively with special education staff, teachers, and families
- Attend IEP meetings, develop measurable goals, and maintain detailed records of progress and intervention
- Provide consultation and support to educational staff regarding student needs
- Help students improve their ability to participate fully in classroom activities and social situations
