Key Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a paraprofessional, teaching assistant, or similar role in a school environment
• Understanding of classroom management techniques and individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration with students, teachers, and staff
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in supporting children’s learning and development
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certifications preferred
• Ability to adapt to changing situations and meet diverse student needs

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assist teachers with lesson implementation, classroom activities, and individualized instruction
• Provide academic and behavioral support to students, guiding them through assignments and classwork
• Help maintain a positive, organized, and inclusive classroom environment
• Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and support staff to monitor student progress and contribute observations
• Supervise students during transitions, mealtimes, and recreational periods to ensure safety and engagement
• Support the implementation of IEPs and accommodations as directed by educators and specialists
