Shape the future of young learners by supporting students in a dedicated elementary resource room setting for the 2026-2027 academic year. This opportunity calls for a passionate Special Education Teacher to deliver instruction and support aligned with students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), working closely with up to 22 diverse elementary-aged students across multiple grades.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Minnesota teaching license required
  • Demonstrated experience supporting students with emotional and behavioral disorders
  • Ability to tailor instruction for individual student needs in a multi-grade classroom environment
  • Proficient collaboration skills when working with general educators, specialists, and families

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct special education instruction and interventions to elementary students in accordance with IEP goals
  • Maintain an inclusive and supportive classroom climate, addressing academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs
  • Collaborate regularly with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to coordinate student support and foster development
  • Monitor progress and document student growth, adjusting plans to ensure ongoing success
  • Engage in IEP meetings and help drive meaningful, student-centered planning
  • Foster an environment of respect and encouragement that empowers all learners

This is a full-time, on-site contract role with a schedule of 40 hours per week, covering the full academic year from August 31, 2026 through June 9, 2027. The caseload focuses on elementary resource services for a cohort of up to 22 students, providing a rewarding chance to make a measurable impact.
