School Nurse (Licensed Practical Nurse) in Winder, GA

Key Qualifications:

• Active LPN license in Georgia required
• Previous experience with 1:1 student care, preferably in a school environment
• Comfortable with medical procedures including g-tube feeding, changing, administering supplemental oxygen, and monitoring vital signs
• Ability to effectively communicate with students, parents, and school staff
• Reliable transportation to meet student at home each morning for bus ride to school and afternoon return

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver compassionate, skilled nursing care as outlined in the student’s IEP and doctor’s orders
• Meet the student at home, ride the school bus to and from Gum Springs Elementary, ensuring safety throughout transit
• Oversee daily g-tube feedings and changes, provide supplemental oxygen as needed, and monitor vital signs
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation of the student's care and status
• Communicate any changes or concerns with school personnel and guardians as appropriate
