Key Requirements:

  • Active Colorado Teacher License with Special Education Generalist Endorsement (ages 5-21)
  • Experience with elementary school-aged students, specifically in affective needs settings, is preferred
  • Ability to promptly complete district-required credentialing and contractor packet
  • Strong interpersonal skills to foster relationships with students, staff, and families
  • Commitment to upholding inclusive practices and adapting to diverse learning needs

Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored instruction and support for students with affective needs in an elementary setting
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
  • Collect and analyze student data to guide instructional decisions and set appropriate goals
  • Create a safe, positive, and structured classroom environment that encourages social and academic growth
  • Communicate effectively with families, supporting students’ success both in and out of the classroom
  • Comply with all district policies and procedures, as well as timely maintenance of required documentation
