Registered Nurse School Setting in Paterson, NJ

Enjoy a consistent Monday through Friday schedule, working from 8:15 AM to 3:15 PM and providing essential support as the primary caregiver across entire school buildings. Your day-to-day will involve addressing student health needs, managing caseloads, and collaborating with faculty and staff. Bringing comfort in working within a district environment and adaptability to a dynamic educational setting will be key to your success.

Key Qualifications:

• Current valid NJ School Nurse RN license (no LPN candidates, please)
• Previous school-based nursing experience required
• Confidence in servicing diverse caseloads within elementary and middle school populations
• Ability to oversee and manage the healthcare needs of entire school buildings
• Reliable transportation and willingness to commute within the area
• Preparedness to undergo TB tests, physical examination, and fingerprinting for both agency and district onboarding
• Must be comfortable and familiar with district protocol

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver routine and emergency nursing care for students
• Maintain health records and monitor medication administration
• Participate in IEP meetings and work closely with school teams
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
• Provide wellness education and guidance for students and staff
