Step into an engaging contract opportunity serving K-12 students as a Physical Therapist for the upcoming 26/27 school year. This full-time, onsite role supports children’s developmental and functional needs across multiple sites in the area. As an itinerant provider, you’ll collaborate with educators and families to help students achieve their mobility goals, all while expanding your own leadership skills by potentially supervising Physical Therapist Assistants.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Physical Therapist license for California
  • Experience working in California school settings is required
  • Bilingual Spanish skills are highly preferred
  • Adaptable, with a willingness to travel between different educational sites
  • Strong communication skills and commitment to supporting student success

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct and consultative physical therapy services to students in diverse school environments
  • Conduct assessments, develop Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals, and track progress toward objectives
  • Cultivate relationships with students, staff, and families to provide comprehensive care
  • Travel between assigned school sites as needed to ensure all students receive timely services
  • Provide supervision and support to Physical Therapist Assistants, overseeing quality of care and mentoring as necessary
  • Maintain accurate documentation and collaborate in multidisciplinary team meetings
