Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Canonsburg, PA

Exciting contract opportunity available for a dedicated speech-language pathologist! This engaging position focuses on providing essential services to elementary-aged students for the first semester of the school year. You'll work onsite with a manageable caseload of approximately 38 students, fostering communication growth and assisting with educational needs.

Essential Qualifications:

• Current certification as a SLP-CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence)
• Valid Pennsylvania SLP Educator Certificate is required
• Previous experience working in a school setting is highly preferred
• Strength in collaboration, compassion, and effective communication with students, staff, and families
• Ability to develop and implement IEPs and maintain documentation in compliance with state and federal guidelines

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct speech and language therapy services to students according to IEP requirements
• Assess, evaluate, and report student progress and needs
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including teachers and parents, to support student growth
• Participate in meetings, interventions, and planning for student programming
• Maintain accurate records and documentation, adhering to school and legal standards
• Utilize evidence-based practices and stay current on best methods for working in the school setting

Key Details:

• Contract position running from late August to early January (with possible changes)
• Onsite in an elementary school environment, three days per week (8:15AM to 3:40PM)
• One position available to serve around 38 students
