Key Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy or related field from an accredited institution
- Active Illinois state license to practice as an occupational therapist and current registration with the Illinois Department of Financial Professional Regulations (IDFPR)
- At least three years of relevant experience, including comprehensive work within a school setting
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Ability to manage and travel between multiple campuses in the North Chicago/Waukegan area
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver targeted occupational therapy services to K-8 students, adapting interventions to meet individual educational and developmental needs
- Work closely with educators, staff, and families to coordinate care plans that support student achievement and participation
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation in line with school and regulatory standards
- Evaluate equipment and recommend classroom accommodations to optimize learning environments
- Provide guidance and training to staff regarding occupational therapy strategies and student supports
This position requires a commitment of approximately 20 hours weekly, spread over two to three flexible days. You will oversee caseloads across several campuses, ensuring that all students receive the services they need to thrive in school.
