3rd Grade Special Education Teacher - Boston, MA

Desired Qualifications:

• Active Massachusetts Severe Disabilities teaching license (required)
• Experience teaching or supporting elementary special education (grades 1 or 2 preferred)
• Deep understanding of substantially separate classroom strategies and IEP implementation
• Ability to create a positive, structured, and engaging classroom for children with significant learning differences
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, families, and colleagues

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, adapt, and deliver individualized instruction aligned with IEP goals for each student
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
• Collect and analyze student data to inform instruction and monitor progress
• Partner with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, service providers, and families to ensure comprehensive support
• Participate in IEP meetings and ensure all documentation is completed in a timely and accurate manner
• Uphold compliance with state, federal, and school-specific special education regulations

This role offers up to $55 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
