Multiple contract opportunities are available for dedicated Special Education Teachers—elementary, middle, and high school levels—beginning August 24, 2026, and continuing through June 10, 2027. These onsite, full-time positions offer diverse schedules and the chance to shape student success in dynamic educational environments.

Key Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated expertise in special education, with mastery of subject matter and instructional strategies
  • Valid and active certification/licensure appropriate for assigned caseload
  • Bachelor’s degree required for emergency teaching permit
  • Proven experience working in urban schools
  • Strong classroom and behavioral management skills
  • Knowledge of, and ability to develop, lesson plans aligned with current state and district standards
  • Experience using formative assessment and differentiation to drive instruction
  • Comfortable collaborating and communicating within a school team
  • Capable of completing all required Pennsylvania clearances
  • Reliable transportation is needed
  • Willing and able to work onsite; no accommodations for schedule modifications

Role Responsibilities:

  • Teach assigned caseload at elementary, middle, or high school level (based on placement and experience)
  • Design and implement effective lesson plans that foster growth for diverse learners
  • Build positive, structured classroom environments
  • Collaborate with support staff, families, and colleagues
  • Contribute to creating an inclusive school climate
  • Participate in Zoom interview process

Openings:

  • 1 Elementary School Teacher: 8:30 AM–4:00 PM, onsite
  • 1 Middle School Teacher: 8:30 AM–4:00 PM or 8:00 AM–3:15 PM, onsite (schedule TBD)
  • 2 High School Teachers: 7:15 AM–2:45 PM, onsite
  • All roles: 35 hours per week
