In this role, you’ll work with a caseload of 16 students, conducting thorough evaluations and delivering high-quality therapy services. The schedule is one day per week, with the option to group sessions every other week to accommodate your availability.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Active Occupational Therapist license in Louisiana (or eligibility)
- Previous experience in school-based OT services highly preferred
- Proficient in completing evaluations and developing individualized treatment plans
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to foster positive relationships with students, staff, and families
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive OT assessments for students identified through referrals
- Provide individualized and group occupational therapy sessions in alignment with IEP goals
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and other therapists to develop and implement intervention strategies
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services, progress, and communications
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise to support student success
- Adapt services to meet varying student needs and changing schedules
